Cape Breton Dental Group is a family of four locally owned dental clinics proudly serving the CBRM. Our ownership team includes Dr. Alicia Burke (Dalhousie 2015), Dr. Charlotte Brown (Dalhousie 2008), Drs. Phil Brown and Najala Brown (Orrell) (Dalhousie 2013). We share a common goal: to create a positive, welcoming environment focused on exceptional patient care and giving back to the community.

From there, you’ll receive personalized care from our skilled dental assistants, hygienists, and one of our eight experienced dentists or our in-house periodontal specialist. Do you have payment plans?

No, at this time we do not offer payment plans.

Do you direct bill?

Yes, we direct bill. Please bring your insurance information for us to have on file.

Do you accept CDCP?

We currently are accepting patients with CDCP coverage. Please make sure you are up to date with your coverage and bring your card to your appointment.

Do you offer evening and weekend appointments?

Currently we do offer some evening appointments, subject to availability. Saturday appointments are available for periodontal services only.

Do you offer teeth whitening?

Yes, we are pleased to offer two types of whitening trays. Please speak to one of our team members regarding this treatment option.

Do you have digital impressions or do you still use the sticky material?

We are excited to offer digital impressions for most procedures. Sometimes, we still need to use impression material, but don’t worry, our highly skilled assistants will take good care of you!

When should I bring my child in for their first dental appointment?

As recommended by the Canadian Dental Association, we recommend all children see a dentist by age one or within six months of getting their first tooth! If any concerns arise earlier, we are always happy to see children.
